Climbing wall award

The Climbing Wall Award is an award for people who want to supervise groups on indoor and outdoor climbing walls and towers.

Step 1
Gain a minimum of 6 months personal climbing experience, climbing on artificial walls on at least 15 occasions and at 3 different climbing centres, using top ropes and lead climbing.

Step 2

Join the B.M.C (British Mountaineering council) and register with the M.L.T.E. (Mountain Leader Training England, www.mlte.org) to receive your logbook. Then finally Book on a training course.

2nd & 3rd August 2008

Between training and assessment you must consolidate new ideas and techniques and gain additional climbing experience.

Your trainer will advise you about the amount and nature of the personal climbing and supervising experience you should gain before Assessment.
